Enlightenment and humanism are therefore not coincidentally the driving forces for the Freemasons of the Grand National Mother Lodge ‘Zu den drei Weltkugeln’ (‘To the Three Globes’). In this tradition, they bring men of various religious, political, and philosophical beliefs together. During their ‘work on the rough stone,’ in their gatherings, they strive to make themselves as individuals, and consequently the world and society, a little more humane. Certainly, a noble endeavor, but worth all the efforts. By the way, they have been practicing mindfulness and self-improvement for many centuries – long before this pursuit became mainstream.
The Freemasons of ‘3 WK’ perceive this form of community as a way of life that should ideally radiate outward – including onto their wives, their companions, whom they call ‘sisters.’ They hold an important place among the ‘3 WK’ Freemasons, even if they do not participate in most of their ‘works.
